Megan DrennanWho is Megan Drennan?

I was born and raised in Toowoomba on the Darling Downs in Queensland into a very horsey family.  Almost everyone in our family owns horses - between my cousins and I - we cover all the equine disciplines from cutting to dressage.  My mother, Miriam, was a keen Eventer.  She introduced me to horses, and gave me my first pony, "Trixie".

As well as a love of horses and riding, I've always had a soft spot for the creative arts.  I would spend a lot of time growing up sketching horses.  They say "horse riding is an art form" and I believe this is a great way to describe the secrets held between a horse and his rider.  My love of art and horses are sometimes combined in my horses themselves through my love of pintos and paint horses.

My husband, Brad and I run a small breeding farm, and raise several foals a year.  We strive to breed warmbloods and performance horses with dressage movement, as well as the mind and ability to jump for Eventing.  Due to my love of paints and pintos we throw a bit of colour into the mix, as well.

For 8 years I worked at University of Southern Queensland working on their online timetables, web site, graduation programmes, and general information technology. Prior to USQ, I worked for Queensland Health where I was involved in editing to teaching documentation, QA and human resources. I've also worked extensively within the Printing industry.

Since leaving USQ to pursue my own business, I have also had more time to spend on my sculpture and drawing.  I hope to have some work available for sale later in the year.

I hope you enjoy browsing through this web site.  Please don't hesitate to contact me, if you have any enquires regarding any of the services I provide.

Regards,
